Ambrose Modebe foundation Medical Outreach
All great organizations always have a starting point, and the Ambrose Modebe Foundation is not left out. It started with that of the late health worker and well-known philanthropist, Mr. Ambrose Modebe, who had a passion for the needy and always reached out to them when he could. To preserve his memories, the foundation was established after his death in April 1992 by his children to keep up his legacy to improve and impart lives.
The second edition of the event was held this year on April 8, 2023, at Ambrose Modebe’s family compound in Isheagu Community in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, which was funded by the children of the late Mr. Ambrose Modebe, whose chairman is Mr. Austin Modebe. In the community, for the past two years, major residents of the area have benefited from the free medical outreach. This event was held to prioritize health, especially among the elderly and the poor.

THE SECOND EDITION OF THE MEDICAL OUTREACH IN ISHEAGU COMMUNITY
Medical experts in different fields carried out various tests like sugar level, high blood pressure, malaria, typhoid and also administering drugs depending on the investigation carried out. This was a way to encourage these residents to prioritize their health and ensuring they knew their health status, residents were also encouraged to visit the government hospital in the area as it was affordable, accessible and equipped with well-trained medical staffs who are able to identify more people that have hypertension in the area, therefore contributing to the health and wealth needs of the people.
This foundation has helped bring medical care close to their doorstep, following the event of the day some beneficiaries (widows) apart from the medical outreach also benefited food items from the Ambrose Modebe foundation.
One of the daughter of the family Mrs. Iffy Okadimbo added that they are as the children of the late Mr. Ambrose were happy to reach out in memory of their father that also the well to do sons and daughthers of Isheagu should also support the foundation to enable the foundation to grow more.
